Christian faith
- The Christian faith is about living, it can't be separated from life or work.
Sin
- Tolerating good, counts as tolerance. But tolerating evil, counts as permissiveness.
- Tolerance allows different good things to be done. Permissiveness allows anything to be done, including that which is wrong, that which is evil, that which is harmful. Should a community that cares, embrace permissiveness?
- Evil is a broad category, it includes even the smallest attachment to sin.
- Sin is like global warming. We all contribute to it, but reassure ourselves that others are worse than us. Meanwhile the world gets hotter.
Suffering
- God does not cause suffering, sin does. God is good, and calls us away from sin.
- Don't blame God for the evil that abounds, when by act or omission, people misuse the freedom that God gave them.
- The wrong that you do, is like the butterfly's beating wing, stirring up currents that in combination with other environmental effects, can eventually result in a hurricane on the other side of the world. Human eyes can't track the specific connection, but God knows, and calls us away from sin.
Wisdom
- True wisdom, is the ability to discern and prefer good above evil.
- True wisdom, can only be borne out of a love for God.
